The organizers of the longest summer film festival BNP Paribas Kino Letnie Sopot-Zakopane will help you see why, and additionally invite you to a unique film adventure. A contest in which a camper trip from KoKo Kamper equipped with a movie projector is up for grabs.
KoKoKamper is a supporting partner of BNP Paribas Kino Letnie – “touted as the longest summer film festival in Poland, celebrating its 15th anniversary this year – is held simultaneously in three holiday destinations: Sopot, Zakopane (in Krupówki) and Giżycko (where Europe’s only yacht cinema operates). For several years, as part of the festival, films could even be seen on trains. The “Monciak – Krupówki” train set, running on weekends between Zakopane and the Tri-City, was joined by a special, compartmentless Film Wagon, which, with the help of a sound system and monitors, turned into a cinema hall.”

Maja Ostaszewska is the winner of the Diamond Clapper Film Award of the 15th. of the BNP Paribas Summer Cinema Sopot-Zakopane festival
For many years, the tradition of Poland’s longest summer film festival, BNP Paribas Kino Letnie Sopot-Zakopane, has been to recognize an outstanding Polish actress or actor. The Diamond Film Clapper went this year to one of the most popular and critically acclaimed actresses – Maja Ostaszewska. The awarding of the statuette took place on July 7 at the gala, which returned in full swing to the Sopot Pier after a two-year pandemic hiatus.
“This year’s Diamond Clapper Film Award goes to an outstanding film and theater actress, an activist deeply involved in the defense of human and animal rights, not afraid to speak out about it – an exceptional person who participates in many social actions, a woman of courage and empathy for the world. On the theatrical stage and film set, she is appreciated for her talent, professionalism and unconventionality,” said Pawel Adamski, director of the Festival.
Maja Ostaszewska creates unforgettable performances in the films of Małgorzata Szumowska and other prominent filmmakers, while at the same time, associated with the New Theater, she works with Krzysztof Warlikowski. She has won the most prestigious awards: including two Eagles, three Golden Lions, and now the Diamond Film Clapper has joined the ranks.

This year marks the 15th time. Poland’s most beautiful resorts will turn into unique cinemas under the stars. Poland’s longest summer film festival will begin on Friday, July 1, simultaneously at Sopot’s Pier and Zakopane’s Krupówki, and on Tuesday, July 5, Giżycko will join the film destinations with Europe’s only yacht cinema. On Thursday, July 7, at the Pier in Sopot, an exceptional Polish actress will receive the festival’s award: Diamond Film Clapper.
